Busy, busy, day.

We've got several HV jobs going on at the moment. Here, Dr. Bob is finishing off one of the Elastimold terminations that we need done for an upcoming shutdown.

Chuck, our foreman also lent a hand with the grounding.

I'm tying the cables up, temporarily, so that tomorrow we can start installing the support brackets.

Ain't they purrty!?

At noon, I headed over to the steel mill, where they had a cable blow up last week. Peeps is operating the capstan, to pull the old cables out of the underground ductbank.

Jimmy 1450 mans the sheave, and cuts the cables off after each "bite". It was a strange day, for June. Cloudy and cool. It felt more like September, than June.

There's the fault! That's a pretty good sized hole, when you consider that the copper that used to be there was vaporized in the explosion.

It was a rough day for everyone. Even Shaggy gets dirty! He spent nearly the entire day in this hole, rigging the sheave in the manhole, and working the strap for each successive "bite".
