Whew! The overtime is over, for now

Friday, 12 hours. Saturday 12 hours. Sunday 12 hours. Monday 14 hours. Tuesday 15 hours. Wednesday 8 hours!!! Yay! We're finally done with the furnace! It was alot of fun, I learned alot, and I made some good money, but I'm glad it's over. Tomorrow, I go to a new job. A nice, commercial, 40 hour/week job. I'll even have an entire weekend off!

I had so much time tonight, after work! I did three loads of laundry, two racks of dishes, caught up on bills, emails, and news, and even had some time to blag. All this AFTER spending some quality time with Tina.

Lately, I've been watching the total lunar eclipse. I tried to take a few pictures, but they came out too blurry. I don't have a tripod for the camera. It was still cool to see, though.

So I went to this hockey game...

I've been working so much lately that I hardly have time for any fun, but last Thursday I went to a hockey game. It was the Lake Erie Monsters vs Hershey Bears. I don't know much about these teams, other than that they are in the American Hockey League. I guess that's a farm league for the NHL, but I'm not sure.

At most hockey games, a fight or two will break out. This match had a different matchup occur between second and third periods:

Yup, they conducted a wedding at center ice. Rick's daughter, Liz, married her long-time boyfriend and recent fiance (one person), Kyle. It was a surprise wedding, as Kyle won it on a radio contest.

They even got on the big screen! One of Rick's sisters didn't make the wedding, but she taped the entire game and wedding. She said that at one point, the crowed was hushed, and one could hear a voice rise up "Run Kyle, it's not too late!" Of course, that was my good buddy, Rick.

I had a great time. It reminded me of going to see the Fresno Falcons IHL team when I was stationed at NAS Lemoore. Tina had never been to a hockey game, and she had a blast. We had great seats, the crowd was fun, although there were some obnoxious people behind us, and the Monsters won that game in a shoot out.

This weekend has been hectic. We've been working 12 hour days again and I don't seem to have time to do anything. Unfortunately, I missed my niece's 18th birthday party, I haven't seen my parents in 2 months, and I've got a pile of dishes dwarfed only by my pile of laundry. Ah well, this furnace job should be over in a few days, and I'll be back on 40 hours.
